The new reviews have started to come in and users seem to love the changes to Word Whirl:
"I love this app. By far the one that gets used the most. I love the way it automatically saves your game when you close it. Very nice when you only have 5-10 minutes to kill. - Ross K"

The new version of Word Whirl and Word Whirl Lite has just hit the App Catalog. Below are a list of the changes. The two most significant are addressing the issues with a too complex word list and adding support for the new Palm Pixi, officially releasing tomorrow.

Word Whirl is the highest rated paid app in the Palm App Catalog. Thanks for all your support and great reviews. I hope many of you have a great time playing.

I've been a developer, on many different platforms, for just under two decades. Like many code monkeys, I enjoy learning new architectures. I'm not exactly sure why, but programming for WebOS has me more excited than I've been since working with GCC on the Palm Personal. The idea of building apps with web technologies on a portable device sounded interesting. I knew that certain things would be easy and others hard. That is always the case with any platform.

We've made the few visual changes that Palm requested and resubmitted for final QC review. I should know when it will appear in the App Catalog in a few days.

Word Whirl and Word Whirl Lite have been submitted to Palm for inclusion in the App Catalog. Hopefully I don't have any rework before they are included.
Word Whirl Lite is the free version and a trial of Word Whirl. Only 10 levels are included, versus over 2,300 for Word Whirl. The High Score functionality has also been disabled in Word Whirl Lite. There are no other limitations, so the Lite version can be run forever.

We didn't expect to be contacted by Palm to include Word Whirl in the Beta Pay App Catalog. We were targeting the end of September before being contracted and have moved that date to the 15th. We are working hard to make that date
